Rachel Sarah XO

Hi guys,

I haven't posted since July, I have a good excuse, I swear! (Okay so maybe not.) I haven't fallen off the face of the planet, I swear. So I've been working for 5 months now and I've been panic attack free for 4 months, yeah I'll explain that in a little bit.

So I'm working for this amazing charity called Leeway, they support victims of domestic abuse and I'm really loving it. I'm doing it as an apprenticeship, so I'm supposed to go to college once a month (I don't go, college is still a huge no no for me but whatever) and I do my NVQ work in Business and Administration and I see an assessor, it's all fun and games. It's so nice to have a routine, I wake up at 6:15am every morning, get on the bus at 7:10am, get off the bus, walk a mile to work and I get to work at 8:45am. Yes, I'm getting the bus now and managing to stay on it for over and hour without having a panic attack. It's so weird.

My first day of work was so weird. I hadn't explained my anxiety at the interview so the first thing I needed to do was make my supervisor aware, she was super supportive and she gave me loads of options I could take if I felt panicky at work. So first day was over and not one panic attack. Second day came, I was meeting more people on my second day than on my first and it was a bit overwhelming and I was a panicky mess, they all turned out to be so nice and I knew I had nothing to worry about. Third, fourth and fifth day came around, and I still hadn't had a panic attack. The only one I can recall was one morning on the bus, there was a whole load of students sat around me and I just felt incredibly uncomfortable, I got off the bus in my town and my mum ended up driving me to work, that was the last time I had a panic attack. Most people at work are aware of my problem and they're all super nice about it and I wouldn't feel like such an idiot if I had a panic attack. I think because I'm so busy at work, I don't have time to be feeling anxious.
I work the reception desk at work, I have to greet people from external agencies, on my first week I was avoiding meeting external people like the plague. Now I'm much more confident with meeting new people (adults, still not cool with meeting people my own age) and now I can answer the phone wiithout panicking about who's on the other end of the line.

It's safe to say I'm pretty proud of myself. I'm probably never going to be totally okay around people my own age for the time being but because I'm working in a place where the majority of the women there are 30-50, they're obviously a lot more mature and that's totally fine.

As for blogging, since I'm working 5 days a week, I leave at 7am and get home at around 6pm-7pm, I'm not finding much time for blogging, bearing in mind I also have to fit in my NVQ work whenever I have time to myself, so evenings and weekends. On the plus side, I now have a working laptop. That was another factor of me not blogging, my laptop totally just crashed and didn't want to do anything, I'd load it up and everything would just crash, so I had nothing really to blog on, but now I have a lovely new bright pink HP laptop, it's hella fast and does everything I need it to, so I may be blogging more frequently now, we'll see.

So really, these last 5 months have been pretty flippin' cool. I'm a much happier, positive person and I'm super proud of myself for not letting my anxiety ruin this opportunity for me. Good job, brain.

I hope you're all doing fabulous, it'd be cool to hear what you've been up to these last 5 months. :)

That's all for now,
Rachel. xo

Hey guys!
So it's safe to say this month has been pretty bad in the way of blogging. I've really not been motivated enough to post anything really, but it's that time of the month where I need to do a favourites post so here we go!

Songs I've been loving this month:
Of Mice & Men's new album came out a few days ago *squeal*, so I've been loving every song off that. You go pick that up on iTunes if you wish, 'Restoring Force' by Of Mice & Men ;o
I've been really loving Killswitch Engage this month also, so anything by them. (I'm listening to them now, as I type this.)
White Lies - Man Overboard.
Montrose - Man Overboard.
Frick Park Market - Mac Miller.
Dark Horse - Katy Perry.
Donatella - Lady Gaga.

Movies I've been loving this month:
Considering I've been doing practically nothing this month, I've watched hardly any movies this month which is disappointing, I've basically just been trying to watch the movies that are in my DVD collection that I haven't gotten round to watching yet.
American Psycho, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Tangled, Aladdin, Superbad, American Pie 1 & 2, Carrie (2013).
I've pretty much been loving the same movies as last month but hey ho!

TV shows I've been loving this month:
Sherlock (DID YOU SEE THAT CLIFFHANGER??? OMG), RuPaul's Drag Race (Finished all 5 seasons in a week, wut) Oddities: San Francisco and Criminal Minds - love me some crime shows.

Video games I've been loving this month:
For the first half of January, Grand Theft Auto V controlled my life and now I've been stuck with a load of missions that I've rage quit on so I'm like 40% into the game and I've just kind of stopped playing it, oops. I literally haven't played any video games this month besides GTA, um oops.

Drinks I've been loving this month:
Shapers Sparkling Pink Grapfruit Juice (Boots own low calorie drinks, mm) and sparkling mango juice. I'm all about the juice this month.

Food I've been loving this month:
Gregg's sandwiches in general and Gregg's belgian buns, mm mm mm. Bless my mother for working there and getting a ridiculously good discount.

Make up items I've been loving this month:
Sleek I-Divine palette in 'Vintage Romance' and I don't care if this doesn't class as make up but the Real Techniques Core Collection, them brushes doe.

Life favourites:
Honestly? Nothing much. This month has been absolutely crap in the way of my mental health and my wellbeing in general. I actually thought 2014 would be a tad bit better and at the moment it's treated my awfully so, that's fun! One life favourite though is my friendship with Abbie, she's brilliant. She said to me after reading my new year's resolutions post that she would try to help me get out the house more and do stuff this year, and she's put up with me really well so far, I'm very grateful for her existence and it's people like her that brings back my faith in humanity. So Abbie, if you're reading this, I love you dearly and you're the best okay, you biaatch. ;o

Am I looking forward to anything next month?
I haven't got anything planned, no. I'd like to hope that next month I may have a job but hahaha that's not looking to great at the moment but oh well, I'm trying!

I hope you've all had a great January and 2014 is treating you well! I'd love to hear what you've been up to this month.

That's all for now,
Rachel. xo

Better Than Drugs - Skillet.
Unconditionally - Katy Perry.
Pink Tie - This Wild Life.
Part of Your World - The Little Mermaid.
Fade Away - We Came As Romans.
I Should've Follow You Home - Agnetha Faltskog & Gary Barlow.
Diana - One Direction.

Movies I've been loving this month:
I honestly haven't watched that many movies this month. :-(
Horror: Maniac, Twixt and The Unborn. (I'm also seeing Carrie on Sunday with mum so I'm sure that will be in my December favourites, eek.)
Comedy: A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Clueless.
Drama: Mysterious Skin, Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy, 5o First Dates (I really don't consider this a comedy, it's actually really sad.)
Sci-Fi & Fantasy: Thor & Thor 2, Daybreakers. (This next one may be controversial but I'm going to put it in here anyway.) Doctor Who: Day of the Doctor. It was awfully movie like and I absolutely adored it okay.

TV shows I've been loving this month:
Whacked out the Jackass: Complete Collection box set this month, watched all 3 seasons of the show over and over and I've also been loving Wildboyz (Jackass spin-off featuring Steve-O and Chris Pontius.) And obviously the Doctor Who: Day of the Doctor episode.

Video games I've been loving this month:
Fable III - Xbox 360.
Assassin's Creed II - Xbox 360.
Grand Theft Auto IV - Xbox 360.

Drinks I've been loving this month:
Pepsi Max.

Food I've been loving this month:
Aero Chocolate Mousse, White Chocolate Magnum and Sweet n' Salt Skinny Topcorn.

Make up items I've been loving this month:
The Falsies by Maybelline. I've rekindled my love for this mascara. Phwoarr Paint Heavy Duty Concealer by Seventeen and Collection's 'Perrie' lipstick from the Little Mix range.

Skincare products I've been loving this month:
I really haven't been loving a lot of skincare products lately, probably just my Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day Cream for Dry Skin.

Life favourites:
Nothing particularly thrilling has happened this month. My mental health has been the worst it's been for a while. Ugh. :-(

Am I looking forward to next month?
YES. CHRISTMAS AND I GET TO SEE JOEJOE IN ESSEX FOR NEW YEARS. That means lots and lots of drinking and I'm extremely okay with that, haha!

That's all for now,
Rachel. xo

Hi guys!
So it would seem I've become quite the shopping addict. Went on a bit of a spree on the ELF website (I say spree, I only spent £15 for the pure fact I could get the 100 piece eyeshadow palette for free)

I just thought I'd share with you the things you can be expecting a review of next week onwards. So I suppose this is a online haul of things that are yet to be delivered.

1. 100pc Eyeshadow Palette. - ELF Cosmetics: Free when you spend £15+ or £15 by itself.
2. Nail Polish set in 'Glam Bam' - ELF Cosmetics: £4.
3. 32pc Festive Eyeshadow Palette in 'Cool' - ELF Cosmetics: £6.
4. Jumbo Eyeshadow Sticks in '(left) Little Miss Thing and (right) Turkish Coffee' - ELF Cosmetics: £2.50 each.

I'm really looking forward to these arriving and being able to try out some products from a brand that I'd never tried before.

LIFE UPDATEEEE:
So, there's been a pretty drastic change in my life as of yesterday. My mum and dad had decided to pull me out of college and return next September. College was just becoming such a struggle as my anxiety and panic disorder just isn't getting better and I was really struggling to keep up with the work as I was rarely able to get into college. I now have a year to get my life on track, get a job and find a hobby. Although as sad as it may sound I think blogging has become a new hobby, it's one of the only things I really enjoy and take pride in doing (yey!)
So as I'm not at college any more, you may be seeing more posts from me through this next year. (Think of that what you will, haha!) How are you guys doing? It'd be great to hear from you!

That's all for now,
Rachel. xo

I'm going to apologise for the awful layout now because I'm currently typing this up from my phone as I have no motivation to go downstairs and get my laptop charger, haha!

So basically this post is just going to be a ramble. I've decided I'm going to drop out of college come January, I just can't keep up with the workload and my anxiety is stopping me from leaving the house so it's so hard for me to stay on a bus for an hour and a half to get to college without having a panic attack. Hopefully I can find a job to tide me over until I start college again in September.

I have lots of exciting things arriving in the post today! So you know that tartan dress from Pink Clove that I've been raving about? Well, I may have ordered that on Friday night and it's due to be delivered today (yey!) Along with that I have a black blazer arriving, a new 26 inch television to go in my room as my 15 inch telly just isn't doing the job when it comes to gaming, it's putting strain on my eyes (my eyesight isn't great anyway) so, new telly! In the next couple of weeks I should also have a video game haul post up soon (if you're into that kind of thing) if CEX can get their arses into gear and sort out my £60 voucher which they supposedly emailed me on the 4th of November, um I think not. I'm going to order Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Lego Lord of The Rings and Catz 2. Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are the only Xbox games, all the others are Nintendo DS games. I may have also sneakily put Tangled, Aladdin (Musical Masterpiece Edition) and The Shining dvd's into my basket also, so expect a haul very soon!

How have you guys been? It'd be lovely to hear from you!

Again, sorry for the awful layout (stupid iPhone app).

That's all for now!
Rachel xo
