Rachel Sarah XO

Hello there, me again.
Not having the greatest time at the moment in the way of anxiety and emotions and what not. I'm on the verge of dropping out of college because when I do manage to get myself into college I can't concentrate because I'm worried about having a panic attack and then when I'm not at college I'm getting behind on work and everything's just piling up and leaving me feeling awful. I just feel like if I don't get the work done I'm never going to even pass this course and then I'll have to re-do the entire year, whereas if I drop out now, work on my anxiety and get my head sorted I can return next year and start a fresh, because let's face it if I fail this course this year and don't get on to level 3, I'm going to feel like a huge failure. To me, my mental health comes first, my non-compulsary education comes second. The sooner I get my head sorted, the sooner I'll start doing better at college. Everything's just a bit blah at the moment. I'm sorry this post and my last post were a bit kind of negative, but that's just what's happening at the moment and I can't really help that. I'm trying to keep on going with my blog and I'm quite proud I've even lasted the few weeks I have without forgetting about it, haha!

That's all for now,
Rachel. xo

Hello there,
So this is going to be an anxiety/mental health related post. A couple of weeks ago I went to the doctors about getting counselling again because let's just say, my old counsellor made my anxiety so much worse so I got referred to the Wellbeing Service run by the NHS, I'm kind of sceptical but I had a telephone assessment and my new counsellor told me that it sounds like I live a pretty miserable life as it sounds like I'm living in constant terror, which is correct so I didn't have to spell that out to her but whatever. She's offering me CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), graded exposure (to ease me in to going places by myself) and behavioural experiments (contributing to mental health research by doing things like discussing fears, plans of actions and keeping diaries) and then after a few months of that I'll go onto long term counselling (I'm not going to go into too much detail but my parents, GP and counsellor reckon I have too many years of not very nice things happen to me (mainly bullying) to just undergo a few months of counselling, she said the long-term counselling could range from a year to 6 years so that's good I suppose, at least I know I'm not going to get discharged from the service after 6 months without any notice. So that's what going on in the way of counselling, hopefully I can get my life back on track.

That's all for now,

Hello there.
I'm on a roll with these blog posts lately, I'm doing well and I havent given up yet *yey*.
So I got my guinea pigs a week on Saturday and I've found out a lot about them so I thought I'd share it with you. Well, first of all my guinea pigs names are Obi-Wan (Pignobi) and Anakin (Pigwalker), that's what I decided to name them because Star Wars are my favourite films.
Also, they're both males.
Anakin (top) and Obi-Wan (bottom), aren't they cute?

So one thing I've noticed is whenever I play Eminem or Drake, they go nuts and start popcorning everywhere. (If you don't know what popcorning is, take a look at this adorable video here) They basically just leap about and make the cutest squeaking noises, it means they're very happy. So I have gangster piggies basically.

This is Anakin being silly and thinking he's a model. Vogue.

Another thing I've noticed is that Obi-Wan seems to be very camera shy and runs away when there's a camera/phone nearby whereas Anakin clearly loves the attention, he's definitely going to be a piggie model someday.
That's me and Anakin, as I said, he's a bit of a camera whore, aw.

So that's all I've really found out about the guinea pigs as of yet. I'll be sure to do update posts on the guinea pigs as they're my favourite things, they're adorable.

That's all for now.

Hello again,
2nd blog in a day, I'm feeling motivated, haha. I picked up this lipstick last week, the same time I bought my Undress Me Too palette (see review here). So, it takes me quite a while to fall in love with a lipstick, but this had me from the moment I swatched it in store. Might I add, I'm not really a fan of One Direction, it wasn't until I opened the lipstick up at home that I realised it had '1D' engraved into the top of the lipstick, but that didn't make me love it any less.

As you can see, the packaging is lovely and resembles somewhat of a MAC lipstick (obviously if the bottom of it wasn't red.) On the top half of it, the word 'Kiss' is written in silver and on the bottom, 'you' is written in black. Good use of contrast, well done MUA. The kisses and star is a cute addition to it also.

Do ignore how dirty the packaging has got, I've been wearing this everyday this week. So, the colour is the most perfect orange toned red, it also has a tiny bit of a gold shimmer when under light. It's not as bright as it looks in the packaging but it's definitely buildable, it's not drying on the lips at all but it also doesn't slide off during the day. This lipstick has lasted me 5 hours at the most and then I'd have to top up my lipstick, which isn't too bad since this lipstick cost me £3. It definitely has the potential to be as good as a higher end lipstick, but take with that what you will, that's just my opinion.

It's highly pigmented which is expected as it's an MUA lipstick, they usually are. It's such a lovely orange toned red and could be compared closely to Lady Danger by MAC, if you like the colour of Lady Danger but would prefer it to have a bit of shimmer to it, this is the lipstick for you.

This lipstick comes in a collection of 4 others and are available from Superdrug for £3 each, it's definitely worth trying.

So to conclude this blog post, MUA have got a winner here and this will be something I will repurchase about 3 or 4 times next week as the entire One Direction collection is limited edition sadly enough and they should maybe consider releasing a lipstick like this in their normal range. *hint hint*

Thanks so much for reading, that's all for now.

Hello there,
I popped into Superdrug the other day as I was trying to switch from my summer make up to autumn make up and I spotted this little beauty of an eyeshadow palette.

On first impressions, the colours are very Naked palette-esque, varying in mattes and shimmers and metallics. It is a great alternative to the Naked palette if you're on a budget. The colours are so pigmented and are long-lasting.

Of course the palette would usually come with the double ended eyeshadow applicator but I took it out when I first got it and can no longer find it, oops.

The light shimmery colour is perfect for highlighting the brow bone or the inner corners of the eye, you could even get away with using it as a highlighter for your face as it's quite a similar colour to the Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder, also by MUA. This palette is perfect for A/W as it contains a lot of autumnal colours, you could also create a very dramatic smokey eye with this palette as there's a few dark colours in there too.

MUA are great when it comes to little tutorials on the back of their palettes, this 'mini master class' shows you how to create a smokey yet wearable look for the eyes. The colour names are also on the back which is badly shown on this picture, I apologise, the colour names are (L to R), Naked, Devotion, Shy, Fiery, Lavish, Dreamy, Tranquil, Exposed, Reveal, Wink, Obsessed and Corrupt.

Overall I highly recommend this palette as it has everything a neutrals palette should have, high pigmentation, a variety of mattes, shimmers and metallics and looks just great on the eyes.

I hope you enjoyed this review, that's all for now.

Hi, I'm Rachel.
So this is my first blog post on my new blog, The Anxious Chapter. Why that certain title you may ask? Well, I've been struggling with anxiety for nearly 6 years and I like books, so perfect title really. I decided to make a blog because I'd really just like a place to vent my emotions, like an online diary (just maybe not as personal, haha.) My posts won't be all 'oh my life's horrible wah wah', at least not all the time, haha. I like writing reviews, so there may be beauty and fashion reviews, book reviews, album reviews, lifestyle posts, anything really. Consider this blog a mish-mash of absolutely everything. (If that doesn't convince you to follow me, I don't know what will.)
So a little bit about me: I'm a student and I currently attend college. My hobbies consist of photography, xbox and reading. I live in Norwich in the UK. I have bright purple/pink hair. I love music (any genres, I'm not picky.)

I'm not entirely sure how regularly I'll be posting, I might try and make it a couple of times a week but if I'm overloaded with college work, it may only be once a week. I'll try and keep my blog as up to date as possible and I'm going to try and not give up on blogging like I have done in the past. - Bad Rachel.

That's all for now, goodbye. :-)
